Products-Completed Operations
The part of general liability for injury or damage that happens after your work is finished, away from your premises. It usually has its own aggregate limit.
What it means for your firm
General liability splits claims into two kinds. Some arise while work is going on or at your office. Others arise after the work is completed and put to use. The second kind is the products-completed operations hazard.
On a certificate or quote it usually shows as its own aggregate, often $2,000,000. Claims of that kind use up that limit rather than the general aggregate.
For design firms it is mostly a line you will see on contracts and certificates. Claims that your design was wrong are professional liability, not general liability.
